Jonny -Tell us things about The Poulsens that the average Philippine
hooker doesn’t already know.
Franky - Funny story:  I get picked up by hookers when we play shows... and I
REFUSE to pay them.
Chris - The average Philippine hooker knows that Franky has a sweet tooth for
Philippine hookers....and by average...I mean cheap...really, really cheap.  OH, the
“Secret” is out!

Jonny - Being the dorkiest punk band in Ottawa, what is it about your music
that makes jocks want to stuff you in lockers and parents lock their
daughters in their basement?
Franky - I'm  a sex offender, and we once tried out a jock for a 2nd guitarist, he
RAN out during break.  Possibly because we all got naked.
Chris - Hahahah oh Franky...you crazy guy. But seriously that did happen.
Franky - not the sex offender part
Chris - Franky should be charged every time he opens his mouth...seriously...he is
offensive as a human being...but it's cool because he’s pretty funny.
Franky - I refuse to give any examples, as it might get taken the wrong way,
Chris - i.e. you taken to jail.

Jonny - How would you describe The Poulsens to someone who has never
heard you before?
Franky - How about you actually LISTEN to our CD?
Chris - The Poulsens are just the silly things I think about put into music form.
There is usually a story behind each song. If someone hasn't heard of us...they are
lucky! I digress, we are just poppy and happy. Even when singing about sad things
we're happy because well, why be sad..Being happy kick ass! We were told we
sound unique...by our review on your website. So to someone who hasn't heard
us...my advice..HEAR US!
Franky - Hahaha we were also told we suck and are unoriginal by that Ryan Rude
dude.
Chris - Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, Even if it breaks our little hearts.

Jonny - Chris you seem sensitive, of all The Poulsens songs, which is the
most meaningful to you and what makes it so?
Franky - I like "The one" basically because it gets dedicated to whoever my
girlfriend is for that show, and she is then lead to believe it was written for her.
Jonny - Fuck off I didn't ask you Frank the Tank. Just kidding I love you
Franky 2000.
Franky - So does your wife and your dog.
Jonny - That’s a hot threesome
Franky - I believe that makes 4 if you’re involved.
Jonny – Oh you’re so dirty - I would only be taping it
Chris - Thank you for recognizing the sensitive side of me, my bad ass side
appreciates it. Of all the songs, the most meaningful, I would have to say that it's
'wait up'. The song has a good story behind it for myself it's tied closely to my life.  
It's one of those songs that just came out in like 5 minutes and rolled off my
tongue.  Plus it's catchy!

Jonny - Speaking of next CD's, what are the future plans for you young
stallions?
Chris - Record something by the end of the summer I guess.
Jonny - You guess?
Franky - yeah .... we’re never sure about anything.
Chris - Even if it’s just like 6 songs or something. I have written a whole bunch of
songs that make Rocket to Rehab look like a 25 year old expired can of assholes. I
want to get the new ones perfected and recorded ASAP! SO the goal is for the end
of the summer.
Franky - Sweet! (Let's spend more time on vocs.)
Chris - Franky is oblivious to my planning.

Jonny - What are some of your accomplishments as a band that might
interest people and not make them fall asleep at their monitor?
Franky - We have some failed accomplishments:  canceling out on the best show
of our lives, because our drummer at the time felt like going to see Guns n’ Roses
and pass out before they took the stage,  cancelled a week of steady touring due
to Chris' sickness
Chris – Hmmm accomplishments ... accomplishments...we've played a good deal of
shows. We have been through 3 drummers and 2 backup guitarists in 1 year. We
have also played with cool bands. Well...we've had fun!
Franky - Apparently we’re better then Slayer.

Jonny - What was it about that show that made it "the best show of your
lives"?
Franky - The Riptides, The Leftovers and The Guts.
Jonny - Ok - your right that blows
Chris - Oh well, such is life, you take the good with the bad and move on.

Jonny - Who’s your favorite band/musician of all time and why do they give
you wood?
Chris - You realize that is an impossible question! I could never make it just one!
Jonny - Amuse me.
Franky - The Creeps, The Ramones, The Riptides, The Leftovers, The Queers  
could be my top 5, in no specific order. Maybe add Screeching Weasel in there ...
tied with another band.
Chris - Alright... favorite musician would be Shane MacGowan and he gives me
wood because he is an amazing songwriter and makes each song so believable
how he sings them. He makes every word count  (word and note)

Jonny - I'm amused, I knew you could do it
Franky - I kinda only answered half of that question. But as for favorite musician, I
would say......  Dee Dee Ramone, just because I think he’s cool.
Chris - But the favorites lists would be (in no particular order): The Riptides, The
Creeps, The Lillingtons, The Annoyers, The Ramones, The Queers, The
Riverdales, The 20 Belows, The Pogues (and any Shane MacGowan solo or band)
and a whole host of others

Jonny - When you formed The Poulsens what inspired you to make sweet
beautiful music together?
Chris - Any of the aforementioned bands...if you have seen LIVE there is
inspiration enough to start a band.
Franky - Well, me and Chris first met when I played in a real crappy band ( called
Punk Drunk Love)  and he played in The Casual Fridays, so we kept talking, and
then I quit  PDL, and me and Chris started getting drunk in the am a few times
before we decided to actually make a band.
Chris - But I mean, aside from that  I had a whole bunch of songs written yet no
band and Franky had an instrument and no band (or talent) so we figured we'd find
a drummer and see what we could do.

Jonny - Seeing as being in a band is like a family, how often does one (or
all) of you just strip down naked to hang out on a couch or please provide
details of the last time you all oil up and played twister to “bond” as a
band?
Franky - Way to steal my questions and modify them...asshole.
Chris - I don't even really know how it happens...we're just clothing optional people
I guess. It's usually Franky or Jay and usually there is alcohol involved
Jonny - Hahahah - Franky made up this question for me to ask another
band!

Jonny - Do you have any upcoming shows/tours that my stalker might want
to attend to rub up against me?
Chris - We're actually working with a new drummer right now getting a whole new
set of songs together and then we are planning on hitting shows hard again.
Franky - The Wish you Weres are coming to town in July, so we'll (hopefully) be
playing with them ...and then there is a big show in the works for my birthday, but I
can't give details
Chris -Yeah, and that.

Jonny - What is it about Punk Rock Review that makes some people dislike
it so much?
Chris - Someone once told me it's easier to climb the corporate ladder from your
knees rather than your feet. Whatever that means?...I hope it helps. (I was being
funny)
Franky - I don't know,  you could always post nudes of Pink, I'm sure she'd talk to
you.
Jonny – Don’t get me started about that skank. (She was actually the first
singer of some my friends band TRIPE and a few of my friends “dated” her.
I think she’s fucking disgusting.)

Jonny - If you could fondle any women in history, who would it be and why?
Franky - Has left the conversation (He blames his computer I think he might be
gay).
Chris - My girlfriend because she's the most awesome woman in the whole world!
(And the hottest) AND someday she'll make history
Jonny - What is it about her that makes her so hot?
Chris  - She is beautiful and Brilliant!

Jonny – Any closing comments?
Franky - Closing comments? Buy the creeps new CD. It seriously kicks a lot of ass.
