When and how did The Popsters come about?
We started playing music all together like 10 years ago, just for fun and cause we
were bored teenagers.


How would you describe The Popsters to someone who has never heard
you before?
Face to Face meets The Ramones,The Hard Ons and The Descendents.
A mix of catchy music,strong melodies and (almost) love lyrics.


What are some of your accomplishments as a band that might interest
people and not make them fall a sleep at their monitor?
Oh, I always try just to improve myself in the writing of new songs, taking care of the
lyrics,taking care of the sound just not to bore people with the same kind of style.


What’s your favorite Popsters song?
I really like two minutes (taken from 7" on it's alive records) cause I wrote it while I
was living in Rome and felt really depressed,ahahahah. By the way, I love what I
say cause it's true plus the music is great!


I think that Italy has got to be the mustache capital of the world. What is it
about Mustaches that make Italians so happy?
Oh god I really don't know,my dad has mustaches but I really don't like 'em.
Too much Freddy Mercury for me.


What music/bands do you currently listen to?
Dinosaur Jr.,Tough (from Italy,ex Stinking Polecats,they're great!),Leftovers,Tom
Waits,Nirvana.


To prove that you’re a “real” pop punker in America it is mandatory that
you wear Chuck Taylor Allstars & leather jackets. To prove your level of
pop punkness, please tell us  what color/style chucks each of you wear
and how much do they cost in Italy?
ahahahahahahahah,I still wear black Chuck Taylors but I have also Jack Purcell
and Vans shoes,the same is for the other guys.I don't care about being a real
"poppunker".It's just me/us and nothing else,plus I've been wearing them since 15
years when they costed in Palermo something like 5 euros,now it's about 65 euros
that's why everytime we tour US we buy a lot of them there.


I love to travel this fine globe we call earth and noticed that you’re
veterans of touring. What’s your favorite city to visit and which has the
best sex drugs and rock-n- roll?
We had alot of fun in the US of course both time we toured it.
In Baltimore we had alot of fun,nice people,good crowd but also touring Europe has
been funny.Madrid and Copenhagen are probably 2 of the greatest shows we've
ever played. Not  about drugs,it's more about the people we met.


What are your favorite and least favorite venues & what is it about them
that makes them such?
The Waterfront in Rotterdam is really great,good sound,nice people.The Hangar
(or something) in Carbondale where we play with The Copyrights has been really
funny too.
I also liked alot The Sidebar in Baltimore and squat houses in Germany.
The least fav are that kind of squat houses who people don't care about them at all,
it seems like no one stays there and so are really really really dirty.


There is a ton of great pop punk coming out of Italy, please describe the
Italian pop punk scene to those of us unlucky enough to not have rich
parents that send us to Europe.
As you said there's alot of punk rock. It has always been like this since 15 years or
something.
TOUGH from Piacenza are really great.KILLTIME from Rome are awesome too.
There are also THE TINKEES from Turin who I wrote a song for their new album
who play a nice punkrock.


What do you think it is about Punk Rock Review that makes people dislike
it so much?
I like it


What has been your biggest challenge being in a punk rock band? What
has allowed you to overcome that challenge?
No biggest challenge,we've always been lucky cause all the problems had been
solved easily since we are friends above all.
In the past we had some troubles of line up but it's something normal in bands and
we've always found a great new member.


What is a good question I can ask the next band I have an interview with?
What they ate for dinner.
